By train & public transport

How to reach us from:

MENAGGIO TOWN CENTER: You can walk to Hotel Loveno or take bus C113 towards Plesio. (Monday to Saturday)

◼️Take bus C114 or C1112 to avoid the stairs! ◼️

COMO LAGO station: take an autobus (the main station in on the right of the train station) 
LINE C110 or go to Navigazione Laghi station take the hydrofoil or the slow boat.

COMO SAN GIOVANNI station: take the bus line C110. You will find it + urbane lines at the entrance of the train station. 

LUGANO: Take bus C112 towards Menaggio.

Milan Central Station ( train): Lecco–Colico–Tirano line (including Varenna)

Total interruption of service from 15 June to 14 September 2025, due to modernisation works in preparation for Milan–Cortina 2026. Trains on this route are suspended, with replacement buses between Lecco, Colico, Sondrio, Tirano and local shuttles to Varenna. However, we are not aware of how this substitution is performing.

Varenna station remains operational, but no trains pass through and it is only served by replacement buses from Lecco.

Malpensa Airport:

• -Taxi/private transfer: the cost is approximately €150-200 for a ride time of around 2 hours. This is the fastest, but also the most expensive option.
•  Train + bus

Take the Malpensa Express to Saronno or Milan Porta Garibaldi/Centrale. Then change trains and take a train to Como San Giovanni.

From Como San Giovanni station, take bus line C110 to Menaggio (approximately every hour).

Tickets can be purchased online (Trainline, Trenitalia, Trenord) or at ticket offices located at the airport or station.

Bergamo Orio al Serio Airport:

• Taxi/private transfer: the cost is approximately €200 for a ride time of around 2 hours. This is the fastest, but also the most expensive option.
• Train + bus: Take the bus from Orio to Bergamo.  Train from Bergamo to Milan Central Station. Train from Milan Central Station to Como San Giovanni. Bus line C110 to Menaggio.
